Drafting IEC publications

Illustrations
Definition: Drawing which illustrates an element of the related text but which is not a diagram, a technical drawing, a flowchart or organigram, a graph, a photograph or a graphical symbol.
Ideally, provide the graphical elements of the illustration in vector format. If this is not possible, bitmap format is acceptable if the resolution is at least 300 dpi (118,11 pixels per cm).
Ensure that any text relating to the standard is editable. In this way, it can be aligned with IEC drafting rules, translated, or updated in a future revision of the document. See Text in figures and MS Word for further details.
