Sales Advisory Group

The SAG (Sales Advisory Group) is an advisory body to the CB (Council Board) that helps to evaluate the IEC sales structure and develops recommendations for the CB on sales and product strategy for the IEC. The SAG is also responsible for making recommendations to the CB on mechanisms to protect the Commission’s intellectual property.

The sales of IEC International Standards help fund the Commission's infrastructure required to facilitate standards development and maintenance.

The SAG comprises a Chair and members, who are sales specialists in their country, appointed by the CB. All members are appointed for a three-year term, renewable one or more times.

The SAG shall meet physically at least once per year but may make use of web conferencing to meet “virtually” when needed.
