Title & Task

WG 6

Low frequency immunity tests


a) To define the appropriate immunity tests as regards the
following types of interference:

- on the low-voltage power supply system and on power and signal
lines of industrial systems: harmonics, various frequencies
between harmonics, voltage fluctuations, unbalance, voltage
dips, short time interruptions, transients, ripple control,
higher frequency signals.

- by magnetic, electrical and electromagnetic fields.

Note: Different classes of immunity levels may need to be
defined and recommended to be used by equipment Committees.

b) To use information received from WG 1/SC 77A, WG 2/SC 77A and
WG 5/SC 77A on typical and maximally acceptable levels and to
liaise with TC 77/WG 1 for terminology matters.

c) To liaise with SC 65A/WG 4, SC 77B/WG 3 and the EMC-CWG in order to reach standardization of immunity tests.
