Dr Fujisawa is Advisor at Perceptual Computing Laboratory, Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, after having been Corporate Chief Scientist at Hitachi Ltd’s Research & Development Group from 2003 to 2015. He was Vice-President of the IEC and Chair of the IEC Conformity Assessment Board (CAB) from 2009 to 2014. Dr Fujisawa is a Life Fellow of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), Fellow of IAPR (International Association for Pattern Recognition), and Fellow of the IEICE (Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, Japan).
Dr Fujisawa has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2020-2021) to reach out to regulators/governments in the area of conformity assessment and enhance the involvement of academia in IEC work.
Mr Jingyi Hu is Senior Director of Standardization & Industry Development of Huawei. He has more than 18 years of experience in ICT standardization and certification. During he was Director of China Electronics Standardization Institute, Mr Jingyi Hu has compiled more than 10 international and national standards in the field of Internet of Things. He also has led the formulation of Construction Guidelines of China's National Intelligent Manufacturing Standard System. As the Secretary-General, Mr Jingyi Hu has initiated China Intelligent Manufacturing System Integrator Consortium and organized more than 400 enterprises to promote the development of China's Intelligent Manufacturing Industry.
Mr Hu has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2019-2020) to represent the interests of the IEC in the sectors of IoT and smart manufacturing.
Mr Lim Say Leong is Technical Director at Sunlight Electrical Pte Ltd, Singapore, which is owned by CHINT Group. With over 38 years of working experiences, he held positions in the commercial and technical sectors as well as in trade associations and standardization bodies in Singapore and Malaysia; such as former President of KNX (Konnex) South East Asia and is the current Secretary of Singapore Electrical Trades Association. Mr Lim is also a member of the Singapore National Committee (SNC) of IEC and the Singapore Electrical and Electronics Standards Committee. Currently, he chairs the TC responsible for WGs on electrical and electronic products.
Beyond standardization, he chaired committees responsible for certification criteria for energy efficiency, water efficiency, learning service providers and medical devices and the Electrical Testing Committee.
Mr Lim has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2020-2021) to represent the interests of the IEC in the sector of Energy Efficiency.
Mr Mahendru is the President of Legrand-India, a subsidiary of the French multi-national Legrand. An engineer with 27 years’ experience in manufacturing, supply chain, finance and international business, he assumed this role in 2010. Mr Mahendru is a prominent member of the Indian electrical equipment industry and was President of the industry association, IEEMA in 2010-2011. He is on several committees of the Government of India, including of the Bureau of Indian Standards, where he chairs the committee for standards development and maintenance for LT and HT fuses. Since January 2015, Mr Mahendru is an elected member of the IEC Standardization Management Board (SMB). Simultaneously, he is the Chair of the IEC SyC LVDC (Low Voltage Direct Current and Low Voltage Direct Current for Electricity Access).
Mr Mahendru has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2020-2021) to represent the interests of the IEC in the sector of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mr Trond Sollie is currently a Senior Corporate Advisor to the management of the Nemko Group, based in Oslo, Norway. Before official retirement in 2013, he was a Senior Vice President, responsible for international cooperation and was central in transforming Nemko from a statutory approval body to a competitive multi-national testing and certification organization.
For >30 years he has been actively engaged in the international IECEE/CB scheme and is still involved in certain committees and in the peer assessment activities.
Sollie was until recently Board Chairman of the Norwegian standards body NEK and President of the Norwegian IEC National Committee and IECEE Member Body. He is still a NEK Board Member and a member of the IEC-CAB (Conformity Assessment Board) and also provides consulting to authorities/bodies of different countries on conformity assessment matters.
Mr Sollie has been appointed IEC Ambassador for Affiliate training needs especially in IEC CA Systems for a two-year term (2020-2021).
Mr Schomberg is Vice-President Standardization at EDF Group (Electricité de France) and EDF Corporate Fellow. Over the past years, he has held a number of management positions at EDF Group Research & Development and has designed multimillion dollars complex systems for critical operations. Mr Schomberg currently chairs the IEC Systems Committee on Smart Energy and has in the past chaired the Strategic Group 3 on Smart Grid, TC 8: Systems aspects for electrical energy supply, PC 118: Smart Grid User Interface and TC 45: Nuclear instrumentation.
In 2011, Mr Schomberg received the IEC Lord Kelvin Award for his long-term and exceptional contribution to the IEC.
Mr Schomberg has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2020-2021) to represent the interests of the IEC in the sector of Smart Energy.
Mr Wei is Director General of China Information Security Certification Center and is responsible for General Management. Before that, Mr Wei held the position of Vice Director in the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment which is responsible for the accreditation of laboratories and inspection bodies. Since 2005, he is a member of the National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee and is also a member of the Industrial Alliance for Smart Energy. He was the delegation leader attending the International Common Criteria Conferences in 2011, 2012 and 2015.
Mr Wei has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2019-2020) to represent the interests of the IEC in the sector of cybersecurity.
Mr Niedziella is Managing Director within the VDE Group with a focus on standardization and conformity assessment in the field of digital security.
He began his career at VDE Testing and Certification Institute GmbH in Offenbach before being promoted to Manager for standardization projects in the field of electrical components at DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies in DIN and VDE). After occupying the position of change manager at Commerzbank AG he returned to VDE Testing and Certification Institute GmbH where he held several management positions including for the subsidiary VDE Global Services GmbH comprising eight Asian companies. At VDE/DKE Mr Niedziella was also a member of management committees of several European and international quality management systems.
Since 2016, he is the Chair of IECEE, the IEC System for Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components.
Mr Niedziella has been appointed IEC Ambassador for a two-year term (2020-2021) to increase awareness of IEC among EU Commission for cyber security and increased harmonization of EU standards with IEC International Standards.
