The IEC standard template (iecstd.dot) is the basis for the formatting and layout of all IEC publications. It is an electronic file in Word's template format and exists in English (for the original) and French (for the French translation).

All IEC publications need to be prepared on the basis of this template. It is attached to the working document and replaces Word's normal.dot template. It contains the styles necessary for formatting the document according to the IEC rules, the layout for the table of contents and various autotexts.

It does not, however, contain the parameters to format equations. These need to be entered individually in your equation editor.
