The IEC figures team attributes reference numbers to figures they have worked on. These numbers serve as unique identifiers.

Upon request, the IEC can provide the editable image files of figures with a reference number. If would like to reuse graphics from your TC's previous publications, please proceed as explained under Requesting files for the maintenance of an IEC publication.

Important:

As unique identifiers, these reference numbers must not be altered. If you modify figures containing an IEC reference number, please delete the reference number in the updated figure. Otherwise there will be two figure versions with the same reference number - this generally leads to complications.
