About Value-added products
Value-added products (VAPs) are the IEC’s response to the market need for more dynamic use and application of its Publications.
VAPs are developed by Central Office. They are derived from Publications with no modification of their original and consensus-based technical content. However, only the Publication is to be considered an official document.
The added value for customers is either a flexible presentation, an enriched content, a pre-release of a Publication, or a thematic pack, etc. At present time, VAPs are Consolidated versions, Redline and Commented version RLV and CMV, Online collections, Final drafts and Series, but the category is constantly growing with innovative products and solutions developed in response to customer requests.
