Following a call from the IEC Young Professionals (YPs) for updates on specific electrotechnologies or guidance / advice on how YPs can get more involved in IEC work, the 2011 YP Leaders proposed that the YP programme offer a series of eDiscussions for all IEC YPs. The YPs themselves therefore set the session topics and invite the speakers for each eDiscussion.

In the future, these discussions will cover a broad range of topics, including individual TC/SCs, industries/market sectors, IEC operation and governance, YP activities etc. The web discussions are held live, with a limited number of audience members, and recorded for re-broadcast to the YP community.
