The SAG (Sales Advisory Group) is an advisory body to the CB (Council Board) that helps to plan sales policy and product strategy for the IEC. Among others, the SAG's responsibilities include planning the development of services to support members' sales and product promotion activities and the IEC's copyright policy.

The sales of IEC International Standards help fund the Commission's infrastructure required to facilitate standards development and maintenance.

The SAG comprises a chairman and members, who are sales specialists in their country, appointed by the CB.
