IEC 60335-1 - Batteries
The task of the working group is to investigate safety requirements to be included in IEC 60335-1 concerning end product battery-operated appliances so as to cover faults in battery packs and battery cells that may be incorporated in the appliance. Safety is not to rely on circuits within the battery pack or battery cell but must be incorporated within the appliance itself.
