AG 15
Energy Efficiency for adjustable speed electric drive systems - Advisory Group (AG)
Scope for the AG:
- develop Method of Determination of Energy Efficiency for PDS;
- incorporate work done by TC 2 for motor energy efficiency, and other committees for other considerations
- Includes TC 22 and its subcommittees;
- address considerations for stabilization of load set points;
- determine SC22G position and proposals concerning energy efficiency vs. power efficiency vs. efficiency;
- establish particular load profiles addressing time, speed, power (torque), etc. that represent applications;
- develop guide documentation explaining benefits of using PDS vs. using other means for control and how to best use PDS in various applications;
- determine guidance to address measurement and other method of identification of energy efficiency;
- consider establishment of a set of energy efficiency classifications.
