To develop an International standard that specifies the requirements for the design and construction of non-electrical equipment, intended for use in explosive atmospheres, protected by the types of protection Constructional Safety "c", Control of ignition source ?b?, Liquid immersion ?k?.
This standard supplements the requirements in IEC 80079-X1, the contents of which also apply in full to equipment constructed in accordance with this standard.
