Title & Task

WG 2

Voltage fluctuations and other low-frequency disturbances

a) To define limits, in product-family standards, of permissible voltage fluctuations produced by individual pieces of equipment intended for direct connection to supply systems and not submitted to approval by or notification to the supply authorities.

b) To give guidance on setting voltage fluctuations limits for
other low-voltage equipment for connection to supply systems,
particularly those submitted to approval by or notification to
supply authorities.

Note: In both cases a) and b) the conditions of use, the summation effects and propagation through the supply system (modelling of the system) should be taken into account.

c) To define the methods of measurement, test and calculations,
as required.

d) To use information received from SC 77A/WG 8 or from
international bodies on typical environmental voltage
fluctuations levels and maximum acceptable levels in supply
systems and to liaise with TC 77/WG 1 for terminology matters.
