Electromagnetic compatibility

To develop general electromagnetic compatibility requirements for medical electrical equipment, taking into consideration the special needs of medical practice.

To evaluate existing EMC standards issued outside of IEC/TC 62 for impact on electromedical devices.

To serve as a liaison group to IEC/TC 77, CISPR, and ACEC.

To serve as an expert advisory group on EMC matters, eg. to recommend approaches to other working groups for addressing particular EMC problems in particular (Part 2) standards of IEC 60601.
