Nominations

In March/April every year, a call for nominations goes out to all National Committees and to all the chairmen of technical committees and subcommittees. The candidates must have:

• played a major leadership role in the IEC’s technical work;
• made an outstanding contribution to the growth, development and promotion of IEC systems and standards;
• been responsible for an IEC technical activity that has had a significant impact on industry and/or commerce; and
• contributed significantly to the promotion of the IEC in the business world.

The Council Board (CB) is the body that deals with the selection once the nomination period is closed, and the IEC President officially grants the Award to the winner(s) during the annual General Meeting.
