Executive Summary
- IEC produced 523 publications and the average production time for IEC International Standards was 31 months in 2010.
- Membership rose to the record level of 81 countries.
- With six new members, the IEC Family comprised 162 countries at the end of the year.
- IEC launched its White Paper on smart electrification, supported by a dedicated zone on the IEC website.
- IEC revamped its Smart Grid portal, adding a mapping tool, roadmap and complete list of relevant International Standards.
- IEC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ILAC and IAF, greatly enhancing collaboration in the conformity assessment field.
