IECEx

The IECEx System is again enjoying increased participation from industry and has welcomed new Members, Brazil, Croatia, Malaysia, Poland and Turkey. It is now completely established and is successfully entering new markets and new industries, whilst serving as a best-practice model in the Ex field.

 

The system counts 30 member countries in total, 35 Certification Bodies for Equipment, 8 for Service Facilities, 10 for Conformity Mark Licensing System and 40 EX Testing Laboratrories.

 

IECEx has recently launched a new Scheme for the Certification of Personnel Competencies that has been eagerly awaited by the Ex industry. For the first time, an assessment scheme provides valid, direct, authentic and sufficient assessment of the competency of individuals charged with repairing or overhauling Ex equipment or systems.
